Rahsaan "Wordslave" Eldridge was born and raised in the D.C. Metropolitan area. Word, as he is affectionately known began studying music at the age of nine and continued his studies throughout his educational career, earning a Bachelor's degree in music from Towson university. Word is a solo artist as well as a member of the hip-hop duo Axiom, and the Kelly Bell Band.
